The Map Office





Designers Eddie Opara, James Mckinnon, and Salvador Orara from The Map Office in New York City collaborated on a poster. British-born Eddie Opara is a partner and creative director at Map, with a background in multiple design areas. His projects...include designing large print/packaging projects, environmental graphics and branding for clients such as the Brooklyn Museum, Studio Museum Harlem, Mori Art Museum, Vitra, Prada, and Morgan Stanley. He has won numerous awards including the Art Director Club gold medal, AIGA 365, and ID Magazine Awards, and his work has appeared in several publications. He has taught at Rhode Island School of Design, Columbia University School of Architecture, and Yale University School of Art. He received a BA in Graphic Design from the London College of Printing, and an MFA in Graphic Design from Yale University. James Mckinnon wishes to connect people in an interactive way, and to solidify these connections through ideas that provide meaningful experiences. His projects range from non-competitive board games to workshops to publications. He received his MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in Graphic Design and a BFA from Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Salvador Orara was born in California and raised in New York City. He received a BFA in Graphic Design from The University of the Arts, where he was the recipient of the Armin Hofmann Award, the Florence Whistler Fish Award, and the Promising Artist Award and was the director of the G-1 Gallery at UArts.
